From car park mishap to clean finish

I needed Bumper Scuff repair after a awkward moment left a noticeable mark on my car, but what followed was a surprisingly simple fix that brought back the look.

It happened near Manchester Piccadilly Station on a typical afternoon when I slightly clipped a low barrier while parking. The scratch looked quite obvious, and I knew it would stand out too much if left.

Later that evening, I started checking reviews and came across AutoScratch. The site felt easy to follow, so I sent over a few pictures and a brief description. I got a reply within a reasonable time with a quote that seemed reasonable, and we arranged a convenient time.

On the day, the technician arrived right when expected and walked me through the process in a approachable way. First, the damaged area was carefully wiped down to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which evened the surface. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked spot on. The blending process followed, where the new paint was carefully blended into the surrounding area so there were no click here harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it a refined look. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically no longer noticeable unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt convenient, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was well paced, and the workmanship was clearly careful. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for minor damage rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Manchester Piccadilly Station again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
